What is LEED certification?
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an international certification system that recognizes environmentally sustainable and efficient buildings. Its goal is to promote responsible construction that reduces environmental impact, improves energy efficiency, and ensures healthy spaces for the people who use them.
In other words, a LEED-certified building takes care of the planet and also of those who work in it, promoting more sustainable and healthy environments. 🌱
What do you need to obtain a LEED certification?
Obtaining LEED certification requires meeting a series of criteria in different areas, such as energy efficiency, water management, use of sustainable materials, indoor air quality, and innovative design. Buildings are evaluated through a points system, and the certification level is determined based on the points earned.
To achieve it, you need to:
- Design and construct the building following sustainable criteria.
- Document every step of the process, from the materials used to energy efficiency.
- Undergo audits and reviews by LEED-certified organizations.

LEED offers different certification levels depending on the score obtained in its evaluation. At Lexington, we are proud to have several LEED-certified centers, reflecting our commitment to sustainability.

Focuses on sustainable planning and construction of commercial buildings and offices. Our flexible spaces are certified under this category. ✨
Interior Design and Construction
Evaluates energy and water efficiency, selection of low environmental impact materials, and improvement of indoor air quality, all to minimize the ecological impact of the project.
